WEEKEND GO-TO

firstEarlier this week, Joe took me out to an amaaazing dinner at Bistro L’Aromate here in Montreal to celebrate (cue the drum roll…) I’M OFFICIALLY A CITIZEN OF THE U.K.!!! After a couple months of being so extremely anxious waiting back to hear my results, it feels so good to finally have my passport in hand before we leave for Europe! I was really nervous it wasn’t going to get here on time, but thanks to my mum for keeping her citizenship, it was extremely easy. Anyways, we both chose the honey-glazed duck breast with miso avocado purée on top of black rice with mushrooms. Ugh, it was delicious!! We finished it off with decadent desserts- sugar pie for Joe and amaretto opera cake for me.

Wild honey coated duck breast for tonight's celebration din-din. My sweet boyfriend took me out and treated me because today we found out I officially have dual citizenship!! My UK passport came in the mail today which means I'll officially be spending the next 1+ year traveling Europe with the love of my life❤️❤️ #celebrationtime #datenight #mtlblogger

I decided I wanted to shoot the outfit I wore out to dinner to share something I’d wear on a typical evening night out.
2bottomI snagged these heels up the last time I was in London, I had been seeing a lot of people wearing the Zara ones and loved them! I searched high and low but they were sold out like hot cakes. I finally saw a similar pair at Office, and they’re still selling them! I’ve attached the link at the bottom, and if you don’t want to pay international shipping.. I’ve added some similar styles within the U.S.
shoesfaceI’m not going to lie, I bought this shirt maybe 3 years ago at a T.J. Maxx or something and never picked it up again until this past New Year’s Eve. We were in Miami celebrating at Cirque Du Soleil’s Amaluna (Joe’s previous job) and I packed this shirt and ended up wearing it. I fell in love with it that night, it’s now become a go-to staple when I want to look chic but not too overdone. Obviously fashion tape is a MUST. The shirt is pretty deep, making it as customizable as I want, so I just tape where I feel depending on how much skin I want to show. Unfortunately, I couldn’t even tell you where to buy this exact top so I’ve pulled together some similar blouses!
standing3These pants I’ve also had foorevverr. They were maybe $15 at Forever21 and I wear them all the time! They can be dressed up like I did here, or sometimes I’ll wear them with a tank and flip-flops during the day. The pants are really light so they’re definitely a spring/summer must-have.
